Pumping Station
Here is where I pump, and all of the stuff I have set up. The cat (on the right) is now banned from the room-- she was just too tempted by that
Ameda Egnell tubing. (She chewed through 2 sets) On the tray you can see the Purely Yours pump (out of its bag) sitting on top of the Pump In Style 98 (doesn't come out of its bag). There is a purple tube of Lansinoh in front-- I use that before I pump. The big plastic sharks cups are my flange holders-- they are weighted down with bags of
rice, so they don't fall over. The Medela duck feet were hard to use when pumping to
bottles, but worthless when going directly to bags. If I'd started with the PY, I probably
wouldn't have bothered with making my own. The collection of plastic bottles include my daily vitamins and 2 brands of fenugreek,
which I still take occasionally if I feel nervous about my milk supply. There is a bottle of water-- I think the closest I come to feeling letdown is
that I get thirsty as soon as the milk starts flowing :-). And then there are the nursing pads-- one lone cloth pad, which is what I usually use,
and a box of disposables, for when the cloth ones are all in the wash (or need to be). In the background you can see the bottles lined up against the window-- that is the
area that the other picture on my pumping page shows. Back to the pumping page |
